Pine Creek Outfitters is a premier full service outfitter. We want to make your dream hunt a reality. And that includes hunting Alberta Whitetail Deer.
The Whitetail Deer is Alberta's most abundant cloven-hoofed animal. It's coloration changes from reddish-brown in summer to greyish brown in winter. Whitetail Deer are slightly smaller than Mule Deer. Bucks average 90 kg (200 lb.) while does weigh about 60 kg (130 lb.).
In the Boone and Crockett third edition of the 'Club's Record of Whitetail Deer', they list the top ten typical and non typical deer ever taken. Alberta is home to three of these bucks. No other province or state has more deer on the list.
When you're ready to go on your next big game hunting adventure, think Pine Creek Outfitters!
Pine Creek Outfitters offers 7 day whitetail deer hunts and 10 day combination hunts that include bear and/or moose. We also include wolf tags with every hunt.
Pine Creek Outfitters specializes in 7 day rifle hunts. We utilize stand hunting and have heated stands. You can be assured that our hunting areas have been thoroughly pre-scouted and we have set up our stands based on the animals' activity.
Our last whitetail deer hunt had a success rate of 80%. Our average was 140-150 points and our best was 203 gross.
Wolves are the largest member of the wild dog family, and may weigh up to 60 kg (130 lb.). The fur is commonly gray with dark shading, but may vary in color from near black to almost white. Coats are long and dense, and ears are thickly furred. Large feet aid in travelling over snow. The wolf is distinguished from the coyote by its larger size, broader face, and less-pointed muzzle. Wolves are present in all areas hunted and tags for wolves are encouraged on all hunts.
We usually only have 4 hunters booked at one time but will have up to 6 in order to accommodate more hunters when necessary. Larger groups can also book hunts with Pine Creek Outfitters but these will need to be booked in advance.
At Pine Creek Outfitters we house our Whitetail Deer hunters in a lodge instead of a camp. Please call for details.

Weather
In May and June weather is generally warm during the day and quite cool at night. A good warm jacket is necessary for the evening stands and rain gear is also essential. We may get an occasional light snow in May.
Fall climate conditions can be very extreme. Hunters should be prepared with good footwear for walking, posting on hillside or swampy terrain. Good rain gear, jacket and pants are essential. Warm gloves and a hat or cap, heavy jacket as well as long underwear, wool pants and shirt will make enduring the cold climate much easier.
