One of Pine Creek Outfitters goals is to help you create memories that will last a lifetime by providing a top quality bear hunting adventure. We pride ourselves in being experienced and credible hunting outfitters and guides, providing the maximum effort to our clients.

Alberta has a high population of black bears, however, there are still wilderness areas that have received no bear hunting pressure. There is little to no local resident hunting for black bears in our hunting areas. Consequently, there is a high trophy quality with adult males or boars weighing from 100 to 200 kg (220 to 440 lb.) and adult females or sows weighing from 45 to 140 kg (100 to 310 1b.). Many top entries in the Boon and Crockett and the Pope and Young books are havested in Alberta. Approximately 30% of Alberta's black bear population are color phase which include blonde, cinnamon, brown, and red. You might even encounter a few white (non-albino) bears.

Pine Creek Outfitters specializes in 7 day archery and rifle hunts.

Alberta has a two bear limit. At Pine Creek Outfitters hunting takes place from heated tree stands. We have an average of 5 baits per hunter, increasing your opportunity for that trophy bear. We also include wolf tags with your bear hunt.

Our last bear hunt had a kill rate of 150% with the average size being 6'. The largest troply taken last year was 7'-7".

Wolves are the largest member of the wild dog family, and may weigh up to 60 kg (130 lb.). The fur is commonly gray with dark shading, but may vary in color from near black to almost white. Coats are long and dense, and ears are thickly furred. Large feet aid in travelling over snow. The wolf is distinguished from the coyote by its larger size, broader face, and less-pointed muzzle. Wolves are present in all areas hunted and tags for wolves are encouraged on all bear hunts.
Weather
In May and June weather is generally warm during the day and quite cool at night. A good warm jacket is necessary for the evening stands and rain gear is also essential. We may get an occasional light snow in May.
